Al Ahly are going to face Kaizer Chiefs in the CAF Champions League final at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco, on Saturday, 17 July.
The Egyptian giants walloped a 10-man Tunisian side Esperance Sportive de Tunis 3-0 in a semi-final second leg match at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, on Saturday evening. The Red Devils won 4-0 on aggregate after a 1-0 first leg victory last weekend.
Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Sherif and Hussein El-Shahat scored for the Egyptians. This is coach Pitso Mosimane’s second successive Champions League final since joining Al Ahly from Mamelodi Sundowns in September last year.
Esperance played more than 50 minutes of the match with 10 men after their defender Ilyes Chetti was red carded in the 36th minute.
Meanwhile, Chiefs beat Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club 1-0 on aggregate to reach their first ever CAF Champions League final. The two sides drew goalless at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Saturday.
