Italian sprinter Lamont Marcell Jacobs clocked his personal best of 9.80 seconds on his way to winning a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in Japan on Sunday afternoon. 
Born in El Paso, Texas, United States, 26-year-old Jacobs beat American Fred Kerley and Andre de Grasse from Canada, who came second and third respectively. Kerley clocked 9.84secs while De Grasse finished in 9.89secs. 
Meanwhile, South African athlete Akani Simbine finished fourth in 9.93seconds.
