Ghana coach Charles Akonnor and Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori are aiming at causing pain to Bafana Bafana.
The Black Stars face Bafana Bafana in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, at 18h00 on Monday.
“It’s a match l’m taking serious. When we played Ethiopia there were certain things we needed to do,” Akonnor said.
“I look forward to have a good match. Looking forward to have the three points.”
Meanwhile, Ofori says that winning the match is the most important thing they have to do.
“This game is very important. It’s not only for me, it’s for the nation,” the Orlando Pirates goalminder said.
“We know how important this game for the nation is because we want to go to the World Cup. I’m playing with players l’m playing with here. I know their qualities. They are very good, but at the end of the day we are Ghana. We need to show we are Ghanaians.”
The Black Stars go to this match following a 1-0 home win over Ethiopia on Friday while Bafana Bafana drew goalless with Zimbabwe.
