Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has praised his boys for not panicking when they were trailing against Sekhukhune United.

This comes after the Buccaneers broke Babina Noko’s three-match unbeaten run defeating them 2-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Tuesday evening.

Babina Noko’s goal came from Seth Parusnath while Linda Mntambo and Kabelo Dlamini netted for the Buccaneers.

“It’s always difficult to play against a low block. You need a lot of patience. They are very good with counter attacks,” Ncikazi said.

“I don’t think in the goal we conceded we defended well. What was important is that half time we did not panic. What was encouraging was the ability to stay composed when we were behind. I liked the character we saw in our team.”

Babina Noko coach MacDonald Makhubedu, meanwhile, was gracious in defeat.

“I will accept mistakes from human beings. I’m not talking about anyone. Two good teams played, no complaints. We were patient, we caught them on the counter several times. I accept defeat, we played against a good team,” Makhubedu said.
