The seriousness that Phila Mpontshane is showing ahead of his South African title defence against Sibusiso Zingange has taken new heights.

Mpontshane from Mdantsane has decided to leave the comfort of his home and go set up camp in Johannesburg more than a week before he clashes with Zingange as he chases a fifth successful defence of his crown.

The 31-year-old Mpontshane clashes with Zingange at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg on Sunday, 12 December.

Mpontshane leaves East London together with his trainer Dudu Bungu and manager Andy Mtshotshisa.
