Kaizer Chiefs returned from ‘sick leave’ to beat Sekhukhune United 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Sunday evening.
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Phathutshedzo Nange scored for Amakhosi. Ngcobo beat Babina Noko goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata with a left-footed strike from outside the box in the 26th minute.
Nange made it 2-0 in the 87th minute after a blunder by Nsabata inside the box. Nsabata cleared a back pass straight to Kgaogelo Sekgota, who passed to Ngcobo to lay a pass for Nange to score.
Amakhosi, who didn’t play their matches against Cape Town City and Lamontville Golden Arrows because of positive COVID-19 cases, were coached by Arthur Zwane in the absence of Stuart Baxter.
