Not a single ball was bowled on day two of the first Test between the Proteas and India in Centurion on Monday.

Torrential rains that have continued to pelt Gauteng forced the umpires to call off play at 14h00. Play is expected to resume at 10am on Tuesday with India on 272 for three.

KL Rahul was unbeaten on 122 while Ajinkya Rahane was on 40 with Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi having taken three wickets for 45 in 17 overs.
