Proteas fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi were in mean mood in the first session on day three of the first Test against India underway in Centurion on Tuesday.
Six wickets fell for only 32 runs in 10 overs in the first hour of play with Rabada and Ngidi each taking three for what was a successful morning for the Proteas.
Rabada claimed the wickets of KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur while Ngidi took Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Shami’s wickets.
Debutant Marco Jansen took his first Test wicket courtesy of a Jasprit Bumrah scalp.
After a great start where they posted 272 for three on the first day, the Indians were bolwed out for 327 in 105.3 overs.
