India were in the driving seat on the second day of the second Test against the Proteas at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
At stumps, India were 85 for two in their second innings with Cheteshwar Pujara on 34 from 42 deliveries and Ajinkya Rahane 11 off 22 balls.
The Proteas were bowled out for 229 in 79.4 overs with Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur taking seven wickets. Dean Elgar, Keegan Petersen, Rassie van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma, Kyle Verreyne, Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi were Thakur’s victims.
