Tatjana Schoenmaker won a gold medal in the 200-metre breaststroke at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, on Sunday evening. 

The 25-year-old Schoenmaker, a 2020 Olympics 200m breaststroke gold medallist, won in two minutes and 21,92 seconds. 

She won gold in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke at the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in the Gold Coast. 

Johannesburg-born Schoenmaker also won a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke at the 2020 Olympics in Japan. 

Meanwhile, Schoenmaker’s compatriot Kaylene Corbett won a bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke.
