England flyhalf Ford succeeded with a penalty in the 10th minute to make it 3-3 after Santiago Carreras was penalised. After that, Ford gave England the lead with a drop goal in the 27th minute. Four minutes later, Ford succeeded with another drop goal.

The 30-year-old Ford from Oldham was not done yet as he added another three points from a drop goal. Ford added 15 more points from five penalties as he ensured that England came out victorious from this match.

Second half substitute Rodrigo Bruni scored the only try of the match and Boffelli succeeded with the conversion to make it 27-10.
