Three goals in a space of eight minutes resulted in Stellenbosch FC making a dramatic come back to defeat Orlando Pirates 3-2 in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Friday evening.

The Buccaneers led 1-0 at the break through their captain Tapelo Xoki’s converted penalty in the 32nd minute. 

Bafana Bafana forward Evidence Makgopa increased Bucs’ lead when he netted a minute before the hour mark. 

The complexion of the match changed as soon as star Stellies striker Iqraam Rayners pulled one back for Cape Winelands side in the 69th minute. 

Three minutes later,  Stellies equalised through Devin Titus’ header, which beat Pirates goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi. Andre de Jong scored Stellies’ third goal in the 77th minute to give his side their 11th successive win in all competitions.
