Struggling Richards Bay FC snapped a six-match winless streak and beat SuperSport United 3-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Matsatsantsa a Pitori took the lead following a well taken penalty by Gamphani Lungu in the 18th minute.

Disaster struck when Matsatsantsa were reduced to 10 men in the 37th minute after Ime Okon was red carded for a foul on Somila Ntsundwana. Okon denied Ntsundwana an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

The Natal Rich Boyz pressed hard and equalised through Thabani Dube’s header which beat Matsatsantsa goalkeeper Ricardo Goss four minutes before the half-time break.

The home side started the second stanza by taking the game to Matsatsantsa and Ntsundwana gave the Natal Rich Boyz the lead two minutes after restart.

The Natal Rich Boyz used their one man advantage effectively and Thulani Gumede made it 3-1 nine minutes from full-time.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy beat Chippa United 2-0 through goals from Sphiwe Mahlangu and Samir Nurkovic at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
