Orlando Pirates cruised to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after they walloped Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side Hungry Lions 4-0 at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday evening.
The Buccaneers led 1-0 at half-time after Lions defender Morena Monaheng scored an own goal while he was trying to stop Relebohile Mofokeng in the 21st minute.
Tshegofatso Mabasa made it 2-0 in the 66th minute and Monnapule Saleng scored Bucs’ third goal six minutes later. Mabasa completed his brace in referee’s added time.
