It was goals galore as Algeria and Bafana Bafana played to a 3-3 draw in an international friendly match at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers early on Wednesday morning (South African time).

After absorbing pressure from Bafana, the Desert Foxes broke the deadlock through Yassine Benzia following a counter attack by the Algerians in the 22nd minute.

It took Bafana 12 minutes to equalise through Mamelodi Sundowns star Themba Zwane. Bafana led for the first time when Zwane completed his brace in referee’s added time.

The Algerians started the second half by taking the match to Bafana and it didn’t come as a surprise when their captain Yasine Brahimi equalised in the 53rd minute.

Bafana restored their lead when second half substitute Elias Mokwana sent a ball which deflected on his teammate Iqraam Rayners in the 66th minute.

Four minutes later, Benzia completed his brace as he equalised for the Desert Foxes with a beautiful goal.
