East London boxing trainer Khangelani Jack has found a new home at the McAusland Boxing Gym in Gauteng almost two weeks after leading South African featherweight champion Zolisa Batyi to his second title defence.
Jack is going to train current SA female flyweight champion Simangele Hadebe and Bonita van Jaarsveldt, the reigning national female lightweight titlist.
Other boxers that Jack is going to train are Donjuan van Heerden, Monica Mkandla, Bernice Ferreira, Sihle Shange, Lybon Ntshani and Bouksan Bukasa.
“My goal with the team is to foster family relationship, pushing together with one spirit to assist each other in achieving their dreams. Many here joined boxing to change their lifestyles and provide for their families,” Jack said.
This is the second time the 2023 Trainer of the Year award winner turned his back on East London. He joined Rock Solid Boxing and Fitness Gym in Benoni in September last year, only to return home in December.
