Fitness fanatic and boxing trainer Zolile ‘Gqo’ Mahambi can still afford a smile as his boxers Siseko Teyise and Amzolele Dyeyi have decided to remain in his stable following what he calls was a misunderstanding.
Teyise and Dyeyi were reported to have left Mahambi for another stable and no one knew why they had decided to leave.
“There was a misunderstanding with the manager Bongani. We sat down and solved everything. We are back to square one now,” Mahambi said.
“Bongani is the one who helped us when Siseko didn’t have proper documents. He played a very big role in ensuring that Siseko secured his passport. We will always be grateful to him and I’m very happy that everything has been sorted out now.”
Mahambi added that Teyise is expected to be back at training at their Mdantsane NU 8 gym on Monday while Dyeyi is in Dyrban for the Mandela African Boxing Cup.
“Dyeyi is out of town. He will turn professional should he fail to do well at the tournament,” Mahambi remarked.
