Instead of calling out two-time world champion Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga for a duel, Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha reckons that Mpumelelo Tshabalala should ask him to meet inside the ring.

While doing an interview on TKO Boxing Magazine show on SABC 2 last Friday, Tshabalala called out International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight Nontshinga.

And now Tyirha believes that he’s ready to take on Tshabalala, who is the reigning South African junior-flyweight champion.

“Why does he want Nontshinga while I’m here? He must not call out people who are up there. He must start here with me before thinking about Nontshinga. We can fight even it’s a 10 rounds bout. That could be a very nice fight,” Tyirha said.

Mdantsane-born Tyirha, who is a former SA junior-flyweight titlist, has not fought since a shock eighth round stoppage loss to Malawian George Kandulo at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) in July last year.
