Lamontville Golden Arrows’ Brendon Theron scored twice – once for his tean and once for Chippa United as the Chilli Boys defeated Abafana Bes’thende 2-1 in a first round Nedbank Cup last-32 match at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale on Saturday afternoon.
Sinoxolo Kwayiba netted the other goal in the 71st minute to make sure that the Eastern Cape side advanced to the second round of the Nedbank Cup.
Theron equalised for Abafana Bes’thende in the 75th minute only for him to score an own goal two minutes later.
