Orlando Pirates proved too good for La Cure Waves from Mauritius as they handed them a 3-1 grubbing in a CAF Champions League preliminary match at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers’ intentions were clear as they took an early lead as Kabelo Kgotsitsile netted in the eighth minute off a Simphiwe Masilela pass.
The Islanders shocked Pirates in the 15th minute when they drew level through Jean Ivan Ami.
Nine minutes later, Kamogelo Sebelebele restored Pirates’ lead and Yanela Mbuthuma scored the Buccaneers’ third goal in the 36th minute.
