Banyana Banyana had a perfect start to the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament as they whipped Ghana 2-0 in their opening match at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda, Morocco, on Monday evening.

After asking a number of questions, Banyana found the back of the net through Linda Motlhalo’s penalty in the 28th minute.

And six minutes later, Banyana increased their lead through Jermaine Seoposenwe, who is going to retire from international football after the tournament. This Motlhalo’s 23rd international goal while Seoposenwe scored his 25th strike in Banyana colours.
