Naturena-based Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the signing of Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Tanzanian side, Azam FC, on Tuesday evening.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder, who captained Azam, is the first player from Tanzania ever to join Amakhosi. Mtasingwa spent six seasons playing in Scandinavia where he featured in Icelandic, Norwegian and Finnish leagues.
He returned home in 2024 and helped Azam FC finish third in the Tanzanian league last season. The Tanzanian international has also been vice-captain of his national team.
