After chasing Langelihle Phili for some time, Kaizer Chiefs finally captured the midfielder from Stellenbosch FC on Monday afternoon.
“Kaizer Chiefs are delighted to announce the signing of exciting and highly sought after young winger Langelihle Phili from Stellenbosch FC,” an Amakhosi statement said.
Phili arrived at Amakhosi following a brilliant season with Stellies. He capped the season by finishing as the Cape Winelands club’s top goalscorer having scored nine goals.
In the process, the 21-year-old walked away with both the player of the season and players’ player of the season awards.
