Banyana Banyana are scheduled to meet Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament in Rabat on Saturday evening.
Banyana set up a last eight clash against the hosts after they beat Burkina Faso through Thembi Khatlana’s 21st minute goal feom Fikile Magama’s assist at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca on Tuesday evening.
Following their win over the Burkinabes, coach Desiree Ellis’ team finished the group stages in second place behind Ivory Coast, who won twice and drew once, with four points.
