An Antonio van Wyk goal in referee’s added time denied Chippa United their first win of the season as the Chilli Boys drew 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns in a Betway Premiership match at the Buffalo City Stadium in KuGompo City on Saturday evening.
Just as the Chilli Boys thought they had bagged their first ever league victory over Sundowns, Van Wyk equalised to cancel Sirgio Kammies’ 78th minute goal off a Khaya Mfecane pass.
Meanwhile, Polokwane City and Kaizer Chiefs also played to a 1-1 draw in a earlier match held at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Lebohang Maboe scored for Amakhosi and Giovanni Philander levelled matters for Rise and Shine.
And a Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya goal helped AmaZulu defeat Marumo Gallants 1-0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban.
