TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi has mixed feelings about the year 2020 even though the Rockets are playing in the Premier Division now.

Sukazi has said that 2020 was something else, not only on the football front, but for people in general.

‘‘It’s been quite an amazing year in so many ways. The biggest setback was when football had to shut down,’’ Sukazi said on the Rockets website.

‘‘We never thought such a thing will ever happen. We have to learn new ways of living. We had to learn new behavioural patterns. People lost their loved ones and that was not nice.’’

Despite all the bad things that happened in 2020, Sukazi is happy that his dream of owning a Premier Division club came true after he bought the status of Highlands Park.

‘‘We were fortunate to grow. Now we are campaigning in the DStv Premiership. All that happened in the difficult year of 2020. We are still in our formative years in the professional game,’’ Sukazi said.

The Rockets have, however, not set the DStv Premiership alight as they have been struggled something which forced Sukazi to fire coach Dan Malesela, who has since returned to Chippa United in Port Elizabeth.

They are 12th on the DStv Premiership standings and have not won in their last six matches having drawn three times and lost thrice.

The Rockets face Baroka FC in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday, 5 January. This match is going to be caretaker coach Zipho Dlangalala’s first game in charge of the team.
