Newly-appointed TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic is excited with being a Rockets coach and promises to turn things around at the club.

German-born Ramovic was confirmed as new Rockets coach on Friday following the sacking of Owen da Gama earlier this week. Da Gama bit the dust after failing to win in five matches.

“I’m very excited to be the new coach. I’m really happy to join the team,” Ramovic, who joined the Rockets on a three-year contract, said.

“I know how I would like to play. I like to dominate possession. I watched a lot of games of my team. I see a lot of character there, but we don’t have to rush with our passing.”

The 42-year-old Ramovic whose parents were born in Serbia is optimistic that things will change at the Rockets, who are stone last on the DStv Premiership table.

“We will try for the next weeks. I’m sure we can change the situation because I think the club should be up, not down. I’m sure we can change things,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Rockets face Sekhukhune United at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday (15h30).
