There will be no rest for Sabelo Ngebiyana as he is scheduled to fight twice in different continents in one month.

Ngebiyana is set to clash against Ricardo Malajika on Saturday, 4 December, and then faces Russian Nikolai Potapov in Russia 15 days later.

Komani-born Ngebiyana clashes with Malajika in a World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan-African junior-bantamweight title fight at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park and then fights with Potapov at the USC Soviet Wings in Moscow, Russia, on Sunday, 19 December.

“I will go baptise Malajika at the Emperor’s Palace, then go fight in Russia after that. Fighting twice in one month is not a problem. Boxing is my job and I have to fight whenever I’m given fights,” Ngebiyana said.

Ngebiyana’s fight against Malajika is going to be a rematch of the March clash, which the Komani boxer won.

Ngebiyana got into trouble with Boxing South Africa (BSA) in August after fighting against Armenian Narek Abgaryan in Russia without authorisation. He was lucky to escape with a warning.

Meanwhile, Jabulani Makhense is due to face Vitaly Petryakov in the same Russian bill.

Makhense and the unbeaten Russian are going to fight for the International Boxing Association (IBA) welterweight title.
