The Proteas were 94 for four in 40.5 overs at stumps on Wednesday as they seek 211 runs to win the first Test against India in Centurion. 

Captain Dean Elgar somehow steadied the Proteas’ ship in the second innings with an unbeaten 52 from 122 deliveries. 

Jasprit Bumrah frustrated the Proteas attack taking two wickets with Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj claiming a wicket each. 

Meanwhile, India were bowled out for 174 with Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen each taking four wickets for 42 and 55 runs respectively during the visitors’ second innings.
