Mdantsane-born erstwhile world and South African champion Zolani ‘Wayimunamuna’ Marali passed away on Friday night. The 1999 All Africa Games bronze medallist was 44.
The former South African junior-featherweight and World Boxing Federation (WBF) junior-welterweight titlist was short dead at his Hillbrow flat in Johannesburg. Apart from holding SA and WBF titles, Marali is a former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-featherweight and junior-lightweight champion.
