Bafana Bafana have qualified for the finals of the African Nations Championships (CHAN) after a 2-1 aggregate win over the Flames of Malawi at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Sunday afternoon.
With the Flames leading 1-0 from the first leg, Bafana knew that they had to do something if they wanted to qualify for the CHAN finals. And Victor Letsoalo netted Bafana’s first goal in the 12th minute.
Captain Neo Maema scored Bafana’s second goal three minutes before full-time to ensure that the South Africans qualified for the tournament, which is going to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in August.
