UNDER-FIRE SEEMA STILL POSITIVE

Under-fire Chippa United coach Lehlohonolo Seema is still hoping to
continue coaching the Chilli Boys beyond the Christmas break.

Seema thinks so even though the Chilli Boys, who are 14th on the DStv Premiership standings with five points from eight matches, have not registered a win in their last five matches.

Sunday’s 3-1 loss to AmaZulu at the King’s Park Stadium in Durban has resulted in the rumour mill going to overdrive saying that Chilli Boys chairman Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi is going to pull the trigger and
fire him.

‘‘I still have the support of the chairman and the management. We are soldiering on. We are going to work harder until we achieve what we want to achieve. The chairman can see how the team is shaping up,’’Seema said.

Meanwhile, Seema has refused to attribute the Chilli Boys’ poor run to the departure of captain and goalkeeper Veli Mothwa whom they sold to AmaZulu.

‘‘We lost games having Veli in goals. We can’t dwell on someone who is not here. We had to go look for a goalkeeper, we’ve got Isima. I don’t think we are losing because we lost Veli, who was an important member
of the team,’’ the former Bloemfontein Celtic coach said.
