Uzuzole Goqwana appeared at the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of much-loved former world champion, Zolani ‘Last Born’ Tete, who was murdered on Friday last week.
The 22-year-old Goqwana from Mdantsane, who is wheelchair bound, is facing two charges – murder and attempted murder, appeared in court on Monday. The case was postponed to Tuesday where Goqwana is going to be joined in the dock by two suspects, who were arrested on Sunday evening.
Balaclava-clad suspects accosted and shot dead the 38-year-old Tete near his home while he was coming back from training last Friday. Tete had been preparing for his 29th November ring return after completing a four-year ban last month.
